Laughter in the rain

I stand there waiting for you,
We promised each other I still remember.
When we were young in your room,
Under the blankets giggling.

You were there to comfort me,
You were my best friend.
I smiled when you told me about you opinions,
You were never sad or down.

So I stand here,
As I wait for you to come outside.
Two nights I wait,
And then you come.

You had a small bag in your hand,
We ran and jumped.
We smiled and laughed,
Dancing and laughing in the rain.

The rain splattered around us,
We skipped down the strret.
Dancing and smiling,
We were laughing in the rain.

And so I wait,
No matter how long.
I will wait for you,
So that I can hear your laughter in the rain.
